Veterans’ Memorial Restored and Returned to Troy Hill
Thank you to Morton Brown and everyone from the City who were involved in restoring and replacing the monument in the Heart of Troy Hill. This is not the end, however. Our generous Councilwoman, Darlene Harris has allocated $250,000 for improvements to this critical area. The Troy Hill Citizens’ Board hopes to improve safety, enhance beauty and slow traffic in this intersection. Please stay tuned for upcoming meetings to explore and discuss the possibilities.

If there is $250,000 allocated to Troy Hill, I hope the board will consider the clean up necessary towards the back of Troy Hill as much as the front of Troy Hill. The bus loop is shameful and desperately needs improvement.
Would appear necessary steps to make home owners responsible again for their properties. Many of the properties have been abdoned to their tenants and most sidewalks cannot be walked on as a result weeds and bushes growing out of control. Why are the homeowners not fined accordingly? Homeowners needs to be made responsible for the tenants they are renting these homes too going forward. The Board should consider posting warnings on the homes that have been abdoned by their homeowners to clean up the property or be prepared to be fined accordingly. It is time to take back Troy Hill. It was a wonderful place growing up and now, it scares me to see where my parents remain living after 37 years.
